A fabulous antique locket of engraved 14k rosy gold and glossy agate. One side of the rectangular locket is set with blue-gray and black agate, the other with bright red agate. Both banded agates are cut so a wafer-thin layer of paler stone veils the agates' vibrant colors. The agates are prong set in exquisitely engraved gold frames that hinge at the top with a handsome bale serving as the pin. Open the locket to reveal an inner compartment. The hinged bale makes this piece easy to wear; it will look fabulous on one of our Ancient Influences married chains. Circa 1860.

Details.....The locket fob measures .72" by 1.54", including the bale, and it is .50" deep. In Very Good Antique Condition. Imperfections are to be expected in antique jewelry; it is considered a part of its charm.
